It’s been 2 years since I wrote this, or better put “it’s been 2 years since I wrote anything meaningful just for the fun of it”. Someone sent this to me this morning, and I was like “Oh I wrote that?”. Well, it appears like I made some sense, so I decided to ‘republish’ it.

Big Brother Nigeria is a reality TV show coined from the popular Big Brother TV series in which 12 contestants (known as housemates) live in an isolated apartment and are to compete for a large cash prize which would be won by whoever is able to avoid getting evicted by the viewers, at the end of the show.
Based on the simple premise of just watching a set of random individuals display on tv, and however basic it seems, it’s easy to conclude that there is no means of making from that, right? Somebody lied!

HOW TO MAKE MONEY WITH BIG BROTHER NIGERIA
1. Make Money “Betting” On Big Brother Nigeria:
Look out for betting options that are always made available by Nigerian Betting Sites. If you have so much knowledge about the show to be able to win an argument on Twitter, then you should be able to predict some events right.
For instance, Nairabet made various betting options available for the Big Brother Nigeria 2017 show, ranging from “Predicting Next Evictions, the Last Man Standing, Last Woman Standing e.t.c”.
UPDATED: Meanwhile, Tacha made me lose money last year, fighting up and down like ‘agbero’ until they “pursue her commot for the house” after I placed a bet on “Tacha to enter top 3“. Basically, these were my bet options:
- Tacha to make it to top 3: This was a 90% sure bet, I never considered eviction, placed good money on it.
- Mike to make it to top 3: Quite a sure bet as well.
- Mercy to win:
- Tacha to win:
2. Make Money “Blogging” About Big Brother Nigeria:
With the tense atmosphere and the wanting-to-know-more fans of the reality show, writing great contents and pushing them out is never a bad idea. People will always be willing to check out any post with the tag “Big Brother Nigeria”. Check out some smart people that are already cashing out on this idea (Well, maybe not):
So if you’ve got some great writing prowess and you have some knowledge of the big brother reality show, put it into writing. Meanwhile, this isn’t plug-and-play, you still have to apply some cool tactics on how to make money blogging.
3. Make Money On The Longrun By Gathering “Social Media Followers”:
This is obviously tactical and requires some skills. Ranging from you being able to contribute constructively, throw savage opinions and argue with common sense on social media, with the sole aim of getting social media signals.
This won’t sound like a very bright idea as it won’t bring the money immediately. But I, as a case study, I garnered close to some followers on my Twitter account from 2017 BBNAIJA. Tweeps thought I was just another idiot that’s so engrossed and emotional about the game, but nah! Who cares? I was just trying to get noticed. Fast forward, 2018, I was on Fiverr collecting $5 per tweet from white people (Not anymore though). Are you feeling me now?
4. Make Money With Big Brother Nigeria By “Monetizing Youtube Videos”:
You can create a youtube channel and title it “Big Brother Nigeria Updates“. Then, while watching the reality show, record interesting parts and upload on the channel. Promote this channel on social media outlets and watch the channel blow up (Well, e fit no blow sha).
5. Make Money Using “Viewing Centres”:
I saw a poster while strolling on my street, just right in front of a viewing centre. The poster read “Watch Big Brother Nigeria Eviction Live – 7PM – #50“. Smart right? The viewing centre got nothing less than 200 viewers on this day, that’s #10,000 in one night. Now tell me what you feel.
All said, to keep up with the latest information as regards the Big Brother Nigeria reality show, make sure you follow the Big Brother Nigeria (@BBNaija) Twitter Handle and Facebook Page. They post steady highlights so you can always be updated on the latest happenings.
As easy as they all sound, bear in mind that you need great dedication to be able to make a dime. You have to be fully loaded with the knowledge to be able to transform this knowledge into purchasing power. In the real sense, you might NEVER make a dime off it, in vernacular they call it ‘shingbain‘. But my point remains, You Can Make Money By Watching Big Brother Nigeria.
Sadly, I am not watching this ongoing show. The TV in my room, I don’t know how to put it on.
